Loomworks session handoff — seed v0.11 amendment — v0.1

Date. 2026-06-05 Session role. Seed amendment — apply approved-pending v0.11 amendment text to the Loomworks seed. Not. A Change Request, scoping session, or build.

Plain-language summary

The Loomworks seed went from v0.10 to v0.11. The amendment adds one thing: a contribution (write) access axis to the Memory model, beside the reach (read) axis that v0.10 already committed. It also ratifies the base sense of "Contributor" (anyone who writes into Memory) for the seed and notes the philosophy document's narrower senior-Contributor sense as product framing left standing. Both files — .md and .html companion — are committed on branch seed-v0_11, pushed to origin, halted before merge. Main is untouched. The merge to main and the manifest refresh are your call in a later step.

What landed

Seed v0.11 produced from v0.10 (byte-confirmed against dc9c784 before editing). Five touch-points from the approved §4 amendment text in loomworks-session-handoff-2026-06-05-c5-arc-v0_1.md:

  1. Memory — TP1. New contribution-axis paragraph inserted after the access-modes paragraph (after line 39). Contribution is a second access axis distinct from reach: engagement contribution is direct; shared-scope contribution is gated through a trusted core; reach and contribution are independent; admission practice governed at scope level.
  2. Authorisation — TP2. Contributors sentence (line 275) replaced. Contributor is the base role = anyone who writes into Memory; trusted-core membership is a standing within a scope, not a separate role; philosophy doc's senior-Contributor sense noted as product framing, seed's base sense governs the seed where the two diverge.
  3. Longer-horizon — TP3. Three-role citation (line 145) annotated: "Contributor — the product-framing senior sense, distinct from the base Contributor role above."
  4. Drafter's notes — TP4. Steward-deferral line (line 305) replaced with partial resolution: admit-gate resolved as the scope's trusted core; cross-Operator promotion-proposer (domain steward) remains a genuinely open C5 question.
  5. Version + change-note — TP5. Labels (lines 1, 3, 310) bumped v0.10 → v0.11, date 2026-06-05. v0.11 Discovery-record change-note added after the v0.9→v0.10 note.

Consistency sweep (authorized in kickoff): drafter's-notes heading bumped to v0.11; preserved v0.9→v0.10 changelog relabeled "Changes recorded by v0.10 (from v0.9):" (label only — body byte-identical to v0.10, verified); two current-version self-refs in the "does NOT do" block bumped v0.10 → v0.11.

One correction recorded this session. CC's first draft added a drafter's-notes lead-in that restated the v0.11 change substance (contribution axis, base-Contributor ratification, philosophy-doc annotation). That substance already lives in the §4 change-note — duplication that could drift on a later bump. Trimmed to a pointer:

> v0.11 adds the contribution (write) access axis to the Memory model; see the Memory section's Discovery-record note for the change and its reasoning. The drafter's notes below are preserved from v0.10 and record that version's changes from v0.9.

Alternative considered and set aside: keep CC's fuller lead-in (accurate and §4-consistent). Rejected to keep the v0.11 rationale in a single place (the change-note).

The seed now carries no prose that wasn't either in the approved §4 text or a mechanical consistency bump.

Format decision

Operator decided .html companion needed (the v0.10 seed work was .md-only). v0.11 produced as .md primary + .html companion, both reading v0.11, in agreement. The handoff §4/§8 deferred the .html question to the Operator rather than settling it; the Operator settled it this session.

State at close

Carry-forward (Operator's call, not done this session)

  1. Merge v0.11 to main. Branch sits ready. Session was scoped seed-amendment-only, so the merge is deliberately deferred. Authorize when v0.11 should become the current seed on main.
  2. Manifest refresh. After merge, bump the current-status manifest (currently current-status-manifest-v0_48.md + .html) to note v0.11 as current seed — it currently points at v0.10. Increment to v0.49.
  3. Project-knowledge upload refresh. Before the next phase chat opens, refresh the project-knowledge upload of seed + manifest so a fresh chat orients to v0.11, not v0.10.
