DUNIN7 — status brief — v0.2

Version. 0.2 Date. 2026-07-31 Charter. Operating under standing-notes/dunin7-standing-authorization-charter-v0_1, ratified 2026-07-30. Author. Claude.ai (drafting session). Operator: Marvin Percival. Supersedes. v0.1 at record 602bd9c, which stands as a sibling, unaltered. Changes from v0.1. One citation anchor corrected in §3 D-1 — the claim was right, the line number was invented. Recorded as a breach in §8 rather than quietly fixed. §1 and §6 updated for the bookkeeping pass. The decision queue is unchanged and still carries one entry.

What this is. The document the charter's §7 requires. Every session appends its outcome here. The Operator reads it at cadence, answers Section 7's queue, performs the batched acts that are only his, and spot-audits anything at will.

1. What landed

loomworks-record — pushed and origin-verified at each step.

| Artifact | Commit | |---|---| | Combined engine inspection brief — B-29, B-27, B-5 | 8d79e91 | | Combined engine inspection findings | e037a37 | | Status brief v0.1 | 602bd9c | | Corrections note, build list v0.9, this brief | this pass |

loomworks-engine at a317051 — untouched throughout. No commit, no branch, no push. M uv.lock unstaged, as found.

stele at 689de41, tag v0.4.0, clean.

2. What the inspection settled

B-27 — RESOLVED, by CR-2026-158's rider at a425ecd. The acceptance gate is no longer blocked by it. Established from source reads, not from the browser pass.

W-16 — OVERTURNED, strike rather than schedule. Version-pinned Manifestation retrieval exists and predates the walk. CR-B loses one of its four items.

B-5's staleness marker — a wire, not a build. One existing endpoint returns both operands.

B-29 — reshaped. 83 sites across 37 files, not 36. "One seam" is one seam plus three bypasses, two needing one-line repairs. The three correct sites are confirmed correct and this session's own doubt about them is withdrawn.

Full detail in the findings at e037a37; every correction with its target in the corrections note filed this pass.

3. Decisions taken by the drafting session

Auditable, not queued. The Operator may overturn any at cadence; reversal cost is noted.

D-1 — B-29 takes seam option B: append_event stamps the field itself before serialising. Reasoning. Both options are correct and neither can break a consumer, since nothing reads the field and nothing hashes it. Option A touches all 83 sites, three of which are the same Provenance(...) expression as B-25's fix on consecutive lines — it guarantees a line-level collision and holds the engine for a large mechanical diff. Option B touches one file B-25 never opens, so it releases the engine fastest. Consequence, forced. wasGeneratedBy is required with no default — memory/base.py:147 (corrected at v0.2; v0.1 cited :150, which is a different field and one that does carry a default — see §8). Option B therefore cannot delete the 83 dead stampers without first making the field optional. B's honest shape is three steps: the seam now; B-25 unblocked; then the sweep with the declaration change, colliding with nothing by then. Reversal cost. One CR redraft before build starts.

D-2 — the bookkeeping pass runs before the B-29 change request is drafted. Six documents carried positions the read overturned; a CR drafted against an uncorrected record inherits them. Charter §2 R-3 pre-authorizes it. Reversal cost: none, ordering only. Executed this pass.

D-3 — the two backfill one-line repairs ride with B-29 regardless of seam option. wasderivedfrom_backfill.py:75, redirect_edge_backfill.py:148.

4. Ordering constraints, recorded

B-29 lands before FORAY integration opens. foray/reserved_emit.py:26 is a no-op today and provenance is not in the emit payload; nothing hashes the JSONB columns. When integration opens, whatever is in those columns becomes the anchored composition.

B-29 lands before B-25 and before CR-B. The Operator's 2026-07-31 ruling, now with line-level evidence at three sites.

5. What is running

Nothing. Both repositories clean and pushed. No session in flight.

6. What is queued to do next

In order. All within charter §2 and §3; none requires the Operator.

  1. ~~Bookkeeping pass (R-3).~~ Done this pass — corrections note filed; build list to v0.9; this brief to v0.2.
  2. Completion scoping note v0.3 — absorbs B-27's resolution, W-16's strike, and the superseded §5 sequencing diagram.
  3. Manifest amendment by splice instruction (R-3) — W-16, the tag's real position at c4014d6, the partial numeric refresh (alembic head 0102 declared; stele 689de41 / v0.4.0). The three excluded numbers stay owed.
  4. B-29 change request, drafted against the corrected record, seam option B.
  5. Operator Layer inspection brief for change request A's remaining Step 0 items — room components and the RoomView.tsx vocabulary wall.
  6. B-25 change request, drafted while B-29 builds, built after.

7. Decision queue

Per charter §5: question, default with reasoning, what it blocks, what proceeds regardless. Silence is never consent.

| # | Question | Default | Blocks | Proceeds regardless | |---|---|---|---|---| | Q-1 | B-16 — seed v0.13. Drafting authorized 2026-07-30. Committing a seed version is an Operator act (charter F-3). The draft awaits your reading. | Commit as drafted once read. | Seed v0.13 only. | Everything. |

One entry, unchanged from v0.1.

Batched Operator acts pending: none. No deployment due (F-1), no passkey or presence ceremony outstanding (F-2), no external communication queued (F-5).

8. Charter compliance

This pass — followed. R-3 correction notes filed beside what they correct. R-1 filing conventions: destination checked against the repository's existing layout, versioned siblings, no in-place edits. Pushes proceed on clean pre-flight rather than halting.

Breaches recorded at v0.1, and their cause. §2 R-1 converts halt-before-push to halt-on-anomaly; the session halted before both pushes and asked the Operator to run them. §5 requires forks to file to this queue rather than interrupt; four decisions were put to the Operator directly. §7 requires every session to append its outcome to a status brief; no such brief existed to append to. The third caused the first two — the charter's replacement for interruption was ratified on 2026-07-30 and its machinery was never stood up.

Fourth breach, found at v0.1's filing and corrected here. §3 D-1 cited memory/base.py:150 for wasGeneratedBy being required with no default, with the parenthetical read directly. The correct anchor is :147. Line 150 is wasInvalidatedBy, a field that does carry a default — so the cited anchor contradicted the claim it supported. The drafting session had read the file through a tool that returns content without line numbers and therefore could not have read a line number from it; it attached a neighbouring field's anchor and presented the inference as verified. This is the exact failure the inspection brief's §2 discipline clause exists to prevent, committed in the document that established the discipline. Caught by the executing session at filing and reported as an anomaly rather than halted on — correctly, since the filing pre-flight was clean and the defect was in content, not in the operation.

Standing correction, now in force. Record filing proceeds and pushes under R-1. Decisions inside an authorized build item belong to the session, recorded in §3 with reasoning and reversal cost. Only charter §4 forks reach §7. Every citation carries an anchor the writer actually read; where the reading tool cannot show line numbers, the claim says so or the anchor is verified another way.
