CR-2026-130 added a "View source" control on held assertions, so the Operator can see the original file before committing. That control does not carry over once the assertion is committed — a committed image or file assertion in the Settled list has no way to view its source.
Example observed: held assertion #25 (an uploaded image, awaiting commit) shows View source. Committed assertion #24 (also an uploaded image, already in the record) does not.
Any assertion whose source could be viewed while held must remain viewable after commit. Extend the existing View source control (built in CR-2026-130) to render on Settled/committed assertion cards, not only held ones.
No conflict. The seed's Memory principle — accumulates with provenance — and "corrections preserved, not smoothed" both support keeping source lineage accessible regardless of state. Committing does not strip provenance.
No change to the commit flow itself, no change to which assertions get a source file (only assertions that already have one via CR-2026-130's upload path).
